{"id":10857,"date":"2026-04-21T16:18:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T15:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iicedimburgo.esteri.it\/?p=10857"},"modified":"2026-04-22T15:12:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T14:12:23","slug":"grants-for-italian-and-foreign-researchers-teachers-experts-personalities-and-cultural-operators-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iicedimburgo.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_istituto\/2026\/04\/grants-for-italian-and-foreign-researchers-teachers-experts-personalities-and-cultural-operators-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants for Italian and foreign researchers, teachers, experts, personalities and cultural operators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"257\"><strong>The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation supports and promotes the organization of missions abroad and in Italy by, respectively, researchers, professors, experts, prominent figures, and cultural professionals, both Italian and foreign.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"259\" data-end=\"462\">The main objective of the funding is to foster the development of strategic partnerships, as well as cultural and scientific projects between foreign and Italian institutions in the medium and long term.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"481\"><strong data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"481\">Who it is for<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"713\">\u2013 Foreign and Italian researchers, professors, experts, prominent figures, and cultural professionals residing abroad who are invited to spend a period at Italian university or cultural institutions for study or research purposes;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"970\">\u2013 Italian and foreign researchers, professors, experts, prominent figures, and cultural professionals residing in Italy for at least two years who are invited to spend a period at foreign university or cultural institutions for study or research purposes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1205\"><strong data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1000\">How to apply for funding<\/strong><br data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1003\" \/>Interested applicants may submit their funding requests, prepared <a href=\"https:\/\/iicedimburgo.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/MODULO-DI-RICHIESTA1.docx\"><strong>according to the attached template<\/strong><\/a> and including all required documentation, to the Italian Cultural Institute (<a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1203\">iicedimburgo@esteri.it<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1469\">Please note that only applications from individuals who have received an official invitation from a university or cultural institution will be accepted, with preference given to invitations for bilateral Cultural Cooperation Agreements and Executive Programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1471\" data-end=\"1623\">Funding will be granted following an evaluation carried out by the offices abroad and the relevant central departments, based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1625\" data-end=\"2343\">\n<li data-section-id=\"195ljzi\" data-start=\"1625\" data-end=\"1662\">the applicant\u2019s curriculum vitae;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1xdn2le\" data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1838\">the potential medium- and long-term impact of the mission in terms of developing cultural or scientific projects and partnerships between Italian and foreign institutions;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"dzvp3\" data-start=\"1839\" data-end=\"1894\">the prestige of the cultural institutions involved;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1kbi907\" data-start=\"1895\" data-end=\"1953\">the principle of rotation among funding beneficiaries;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1nk40ak\" data-start=\"1954\" data-end=\"2105\">the alignment of the mission with the geographical and thematic priorities identified by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1070mrr\" data-start=\"2106\" data-end=\"2343\">the existence of an active executive program of cultural cooperation between Italy and the applicant\u2019s country of residence (in the case of foreign applicants) or the applicant\u2019s destination country (in the case of Italian applicants).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2374\"><strong data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2374\">Information and deadlines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2376\" data-end=\"2703\">Application forms are available in the attachments. Funding is available for all activities taking place between 1 January and 15 November 2026. Please note that it will not be possible to provide funding for missions occurring after 15 November 2026.
