In an exciting collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, the Institut français d’Ecosse, and the University of Edinburgh, Dr Davide Messina will present his book Pasolini et son chant du signe: Écriture, cinéma, musique (L’Harmattan, 2018). With an introducction by Professor Marion Schmid (University of Edinburgh).
The book delves into the poetics of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s last works (poems, novels, essays, and films) and unfolds the connections of his writing, his life and his projects, with a theory of cinematic signs.
The presentation will be followed by a reception.
