III Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo | Le vie della Dieta Mediterranea

The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World 2018, this year for its third edition,  aims to promote regional enogastronomic and tourist itineraries, high-quality Italian cuisine around the world, products that are ‘Italian tasting’ rather than ‘Italian sounding’.

Le Vie della Dieta Mediterranea will be the opening event of what promises to be an extremely enticing week. This conference will give us an insight into different aspects of the Mediterranenan Diet.

Valerio Calabrese, director of the Museo Vivente della Dieta Mediterranea di Pioppi will open the doors of his museum and guide his Edinburgh audience into a discovery of rooms, tastes and smells. Valerio Calabrese will tell us how the Museum promotes a life style inspired by healthy nutrition, respect for the environment and local traditions and culture. 

Nutritionist Francesca Marino (My Social Recipe®), in video conference from Naples, will discuss Mediterranean Diet and its ingredients, giving us an insight into all the benefits for our health. Francesca Marino will disclose truths and lies that often surround the information we have about this specific type of diet.

But Mediterranean Diet is also love for the environment, production that respects the landscape and constructions that respect specific criteria, and it’s following these threads that architect Roberta Pastore will introduce us to her world.

The event, introduced by qualified chef and budding gastronomer Lucia Ortisi, will be followed by a reception of Mediterranean products prepared by La Locanda De Gusti.
