The IIC is glad to bring, for the first time to Scotland, the Artainment format. Artainment is the birth of a new genre, an innovative format for the enhancement and promotion of the artistic and cultural heritage.
The first Artainment’s project The Last Judgement. The Sistine Chapel Immersive Show became, after more than one year on stage, 440 shows and 275.000 spectators, the first Italian permanent show. Rome, like all the big capitals worldwide, finally has its permanent show, which enriches the cultural offer of the city with a unique attraction that constitutes a new entertainment format. And we are bringing a taste of that experience here in the centre of Edinburgh!
The Sistine Chapel – one of the most amazing places in the world and in history of art – and the story of genius Michelangelo Buonarroti are at the centre of a show born through the fusion of different artistic codes; the physical action of the theatrical performance meets the intangible magic elements of special effects, the advanced technology of the immersive projections is at the service of a story made by words and images never seen before.
The 270° immersive projections take the viewer to the very centre of the event and allow the audience to go back in the past in an extraordinary journey to discover Rome in the Renaissance.
The audience will enjoy the majestic beauty of Michelangelo’s masterpiece through Virtual Reality, led by Nicola Sapio, Marketing and Communications director of Artainment Worldwide Shows. With over 15 years of experience in the fields of arts, music, cultural heritage and events, Nicola will delight the audience with a show never seen before in Scotland.
