The Italian Cultural Institute, Edinburgh is the official Italian governmental body dedicated to promoting Italian language and culturein Scotland and Northern Ireland organising a wide series of events.
The Italian Cultural Institute offers the following services:
• language courses at different levels by Italian teachers
• lectures, exhibitions, book launches
• 2 yearly sessions of CILS examinations of knowledge of Italian language (University of Siena)
• a lending library of 7000 books for students, teachers and Members of the Italian Institute as well as a collection of 1800 dvd
• information service on different aspects of Italian cultural life
• information on scholarships offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for study and research in Italy
• information on grants offered by the Institute for language courses in Italy
