Terra

Terra is the title of a graphic novel, a miniseries published as part of the Orfani series by Sergio Bonelli Editore between January and March 2017. The story is set in a dystopic future when our Planet is about to collapse and has come to the last years of its life.

However, youth does not listen: so it happens that a group of six young people, enslaved by an America on its downfall, are determined to find a better place to live. They try to escape to Mexico, where they hope to find a glimmer of civilization. Their dream of freedom, though, is blocked by a Wall which was erected many years before their birth and which is now used by the people of the south to keep at bay foreigners.

At the current time, when erecting a barrier often seems the quickest way to gather approval, the world depicted in Terra does not seem so far away.

This exhibition aims at showing the hidden work which lies behind the creation of a graphic novel, a language in which Italy is a world leader thanks to Sergio Bonelli Editore, who has proudly presented Storia in a seventy years long history.

Participating in the opening of the exhibition there will be cartoon writers Emiliano and Matteo Mammucari and the illustrator Luca Genovese.
