A lantern lights the path, a singing bowl between the corridors of the castle leads to the world of the dream, a world beyond space and time, to Rosaspina’s Banquet.
” Once upon a time there lived a king and a queen who said to each other every day of their lives:
– Oh, if only we had a child! – But they never received one…”
So begins the famous brothers Grimm’s fairy tale, whose little known versions travelled through centuries and different cultures to reach us.
A fairy tale often misled by modern times, maybe because too influenced by haste and appearance to understand the importance of time dilatation during no action and the recol lection in ourselves.
What happened during the hundred years of sleep and dream of Briar Rose?
” … I entered the other night on the edge of time and the eternal… “
This play starts from the most ancient origins of the fairy tale and from the archetype of the dormant, and ends up exploring the philosophical and psychoanalytical cornerstones of the 20th century to tell a path that leads to the awakening.
Rosaspina’s Banquet is the first act of an ongoing theatrical research that is enriched along the way by new contents and new people.
