Pizza, when made with the right ingredients and perfectly cooked, presents in itself a perfect example of Mediterranean Diet. It’s for this reason that pizza chef Giuseppe Pignalosa is flying all the way from Naples bringing the best possible ingredients and baking his pizzas at Pizzeria 1926 in Edinburgh.

Pizza Chef Giuseppe Pignalosa has more than a real passion for pizza. Coming from a family of pizza chefs, Giuseppe perfectly mixes tradition and innovation. He uses techniques learned from his father and grandfather and adds to them a pich of creativity and experimental twists. Being a chef of Slowfood Chef’s Alliance his pizzas are made only using local and in season products. Often present in Italian best food guides, Giuseppe Pignalosa has collaborated with Michelin-starred chefs such as Massimo Bottura, Chicco Cerea and Nino di Costanzo.

Edinburgh guests will be delighted not only by his pizzas, but also by his knowledge, love for fresh and local ingredients and for an art that made it to the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
