Ariadne on Naxos, Ariadne’s mythological figure is the central theme of the Festival, in a reinterpretation of the Greek myth and its connection with the Baroque world. The opera is presented in a new version of the libretto edited by Quirino Principe and directed by Walter Pagliaro.
The 46th edition of Festival della Valle d’Itria is hosting two works by Richard Strauss and Hugo von Hofmannsthal – Il Borghese gentiluomo and Arianna a Nasso – as well as a series of concerts in various venues in and around Martina Franca.
