Rodolfo Focarelli Concert

Rodolfo Focarelli started to study piano at 9 with M° Angela Chirofalo, artistic director of the “Campus delle Arti e dei Piaceri” and promoter of this event. Since 2008 he has continued his studies with Mr. Konstantin Bogino and Ms. Laura Pietrocini, thanks to which he was granted a diploma in piano in 2011. Furthermore, since he joined several editions of the Campus and after many auditions, he was given the opportunity to play in prestigious concerts such as Berlin, Venice ad Glasgow too. This concert indeed will be his debut the United Kingdom. In 2014 he was selected among 150 candidates to participate in the pre-selections for the Busoni contest in Bolzano. In 2015, Mr. Focarelli made his first appearance as soloist with orchestra: in this occasion he played the First Concerto by Tchaikovskij accompanied by the National Radio Company of Ukraine Symphony Orchestra directed by master Vladimir Sheiko, in the memorable setting of the Ateneo Musica Basilicata of Potenza.

At the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the young Italian pianist will play the following pieces:

J. S. Bach: Preludio e fuga BWV 849 dal I vol. del Clavicembalo ben temperato (8 min)
L. van Beethoven: Appassionata (20-25 min) 



G. F. Malipiero : Preludi autunnali (15 min)


F. Liszt: Mephisto Walzer (10 min)
