Lecture: “Gabriele D’Annunzio: Making a Life”

The Association for the Study of Modern Italy (ASMI) and its journal ‘Modern Italy’ hold an annual public lecture each year. The lecturer is an author from  outside the academic world who has published a significant work relating to modern or contemporary Italy.  Lucy Hughes-Hallett is author of ‘The Pike’, an acclaimed biography of Gabriele D’Annunzio. The volume won the Samuel Johnson prize 2013 and the Costa Book Award.
