The Party’s Over

by Niccolò Ammaniti

Edinburgh International Book Festival

Niccolò Ammaniti is an Italian writer. As a young Italian novelist, Ammaniti was part of the cannibalistic group, from the anthology Gioventù Cannibale by Daniele Brolli (1996), for which he wrote a short novel together with Luisa Brancaccio. He became noted in 2001 with the publication of Io non ho paura or I Am Not Scared, a novel which was later made into a movie directed by Gabriele Salvatores. I am Not Scared was a massive bestseller and Steal You Away was shortlisted for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize.

Today Ammaniti joins us to unveil his new novel, Let the Games Begin, about a recession-defying party at the house of a Roman property tycoon, featuring Satanic cults, man-eating hippos and intoxicated celebrities… Let the debauchery begin.

Tickets: £7.00, £5.00
