Join us on Saturday, 7 March from 19:30 at the Reid Concert Hall (Bristo Square, Edinburgh, EH8 9AL) for a night of Italian music, and a celebration of the links between Scotland and Italy with the Italian Institute.

Edinburgh University Chamber Orchestra plays Trittico Botticelliano (Three Botticelli Pictures) by Ottorino Respighi – an exploration of three different Botticelli paintings in the Uffizi gallery in Florence (including The Birth of Venus), and Pietro Mascagni‘s beautiful Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana.

Founded in 1983, the Edinburgh University Chamber Orchestra is one of Scotland’s premier student-led ensembles, a community of passionate musicians dedicated to performing chamber music at the highest level. It has performed under many of Scotland’s fine composers and conductors including James Lowe, Garry Walker, Edward Harper, Peter Nelson, David Watkins, Will Conway and Philip Higham.
