Antonio Forcione is an award-winning acoustic guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and artist of great talent. He breaks the mould of most conventional guitar sounds, in the fields of jazz, Spanish, African, Brazilian or improvised music.
His albums have consistently topped UK and international jazz charts and worldwide he has shared the stage with some of the world’s most accomplished musicians, including Martin Taylor, Trilok Gurtu, Andy Sheppard, Soweto Gospel Choir, Sarah Jane Morris and many more. He has also recorded a duo album with Charlie Hayden, and his latest album Sketches of Africa displays his natural affinity with melodies which have a strong emphasis on rhythm.
Antonio will be joined for this concert by Jenny Adejayan (Cello), Anselmo Netto (Percussion/Mandolin) and Matheus Nova (Acoustic Bass).
