As he attempts to complete his latest work, the great Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky learns of a plot to assassinate the Russian royal family. Built around a towering central performance by Serbian actor Miki Manojlovic, Giuliano Montaldo’s period drama also features an evocative score by the legendary Ennio Morricone.
