The “Lingua Italiana e Arte della Pizza Project”

Final Demonstration

The “Lingua Italiana & Arte della Pizza” Project is a project on Italian language and culture co-founded by the Italian Consulate and the Italian Cultural Institute in Edinburgh, and coordinated by a group of Italian and Irish friends to benefit the Italian community. It took place from March to May 2015. The project consisted in nine weekly workshops of one hour each, where a group of 30 children and teenagers aged 6 to 15 were taught the process of making pizza, thanks to the expertise of the Pizza Chef Alessandro Bianco. All in all, a very nice excuse to learn some Italian! Rhymes, songs, names of colours and so much more! On this Sunday there will be their final demonstration in the presence of Mr Carlo Perrotta, Italian Consul General for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  • Organized by: Italian Cultural Institute Edinburgh and Italian Consulate
  • In collaboration with: Federica Ferrieri, Tommaso Giannetto e Alessandro Bianco
