Privacy policies of the Italian Institute of Culture in Edinburgh (IIC) of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) 

 

General Policy

The processing of personal data is carried out by the IIC in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency in order protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons.

The data controller is the MAECI which operates, with reference to the activity of the IIC, through the IIC.

The provided personal data will be used in particular for the purposes and services listed in the following paragraphs. Please refer to each paragraph for more details.

The processing of provided data is based on consensus: if the data are not provided, the concerned persons will not be able to access the service.

Without prejudice to the details mentioned in the following paragraphs, the processing of provided data is carried out by the staff of the IIC in a mixed mode (both manual and automated).

The concerned persons can request to access their personal data and to rectify them. They can also request the cancellation of the data (with prejudice to the access to the correspondent services), as well as their restriction of processing or object to the processing. In these cases, the concerned persons shall submit the request to the IIC and to the RPD for information.

Persons considering that their fundamental rights have been violated may file a complaint to the RPD of the MAECI or to the Italian Data Protection Supervisor:

Proposals of Cultural Events

In order to evaluate and organize cultural events, the IIC stores the personal data of each proposal and their application.

Unsolicited Applications for Internships

Considering the ministerial provisions with regard to internships and the MAECI-MIUR-CRUI Convention, unsolicited CVs and applications will be deleted upon their receipt.

Unsolicited Applications for Recruitment and Volunteering

Considering the legislation about employees and volunteering, unsolicited CVs and applications will be deleted upon their receipt.

Newsletter

By subscribing to the newsletter service you agree that your personal data will be stored and processed by the IIC in order to:
a) send you information about our events;
b) send you information about events taking place in Scotland and Northern Ireland related to Italian culture;
c) send you invitations to our events.
