As part of Sonica Glasgow 2026, SPIME.IM will present the Scottish premiere of their acclaimed audiovisual performance Grey Line, featured in a compelling triple-bill programme.
Experimental transmedia collective SPIME.IM poses a provocative and timely question: “What is the truth of a lie that knows it lies?” In a dizzying audiovisual onslaught, Grey Line interrogates, samples, transforms and collides high and low culture, the deepfaked and the authentic, the sublime and the absurd, false facts and carefully crafted artifice. Every performance is unique, incorporating the latest news footage and social media fragments that erupt across multiple screens, accompanied by an exhilarating soundtrack of techno, drum & bass and off-kilter pop. The result is a thrilling sensory experience that blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction.
