Years of Lead are a decade of political terrorism that hit Italy in the 1970s, both from the far-right and far-left. On March 16th, 1978, Italian political terrorism reached the peak of its harshness. Aldo Moro, former prime minister and leader of the ruling Christian Democracy party was kidnapped and murdered by the far-left wing terrorist group Brigate Rosse (Red Brigades).
