Germano Ovani & Martina Peluso

Children’s Illustration Exhibition

Two talented Italian illustrators Germano Ovani & Martina Peluso will be exhibiting for the first time at the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

Their exhibition draws on the amazing power of drawing, one of the first forms of expressions we all experience. So doing, Martina and Germano’s drawings will get youngers to explore the magical world of books, bringing back to their childhood those who have only apparently lost their ability to dream.

Germano Ovani’s artistic training took place mainly in Urbino (Italy) where he studied Art at the School of Art, and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1997 he began to be interested in the illustration of children’s books. After

obtaining his first commissions from various Italian publishers, in 1999 he started an MA dedicated to the Illustration of Children’s Books at The University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

she exhibited her work at Assisi, Italy, called ’The Hymn of the Creatures, images of a world of grace’; it was on exhibition at the museum of St. Damiano.
