Original repertoire for guitar and cello is not very large; however the sound created together by these instruments is so evocative to inspire the Fringe habitue guitarist Luca Villani to return with accomplished cellist Sinziana Bica to present a fantastic Spanish and Latin American concert. Isaac Albéniz Cordoba and Granada are perfect portraits of typical Spanish towns, sublimated by guitar solo Asturias. Astor Piazzolla Cafè 1930 and Nightclub 1960 bring both intimate and exciting tango nuances. Villa-Lobos Bachianas Brasileiras delicacy introduces the demanding Sonata by Radamés Gnattali: the quintessence of its genuine Brazilian mood completes this unmissable Fringe duet.
