Cosimo, the leader of a gang of petty thieves, is in jail. To get him released Peppe, one of his henchmen, confesses to the robbery of which Cosimo was found guilty. In the time spent in jail with Cosimo, Peppe worms out of him the details of a great hit on a pawnshop, planned with fellow thieves.
