Rome Eternal Evolution Photographic Exhibition

To support Rome as a candidate city to host EXPO 2030, the Italian Institute of Culture in Edinburgh is delighted to host the photographic exhibitionRome Eternal Evolution“, an evocative photographic journey that tells the different souls of Rome.

The exhibition, produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with ANSA Agency and the EXPO 2030 Rome Promoting Committee, will remain on view until Tuesday, 31st October at the Italian Cultural Institute in Edinburgh.

The Italian Institute of Culture in Edinburgh hosts a reduced version of the full exhibition, focusing on the two key themes of Expressiveness and Modern and Ancient to provide an overview of the best-known and most innovative faces of the Italian Capital: the world of cinema, prestigious sporting events, brands that have made the history of fashion and political meetings that have changed the future of Europe. And how not to mention that Rome is an open-air museum: from the Imperial Forum to the Colosseum to the Cloud, the past and the future coexist in the uniqueness of Rome’s monuments and squares, with Roman and more innovative architecture.

As the only capital city in the European Union to be nominated for Expo 2030, Rome – throughout its almost three thousand years of development – has been capable of reinventing itself, to the point of earning itself the nickname of “the eternal city”. Its roots, which lie in the continuous drive for innovation, art and integration between faiths and cultures, become today the new starting point towards a future of hospitality and liveability.
