Assessment Test
Unless you are a complete beginner, a brief assessment test is compulsory to ensure we can place you in the most appropriate class. Please email corsi.iicedimburgo@esteri.it to request an assessment test.
Enrolment period
You can enrol for the courses up to one week before the start of the term. Access to the first class is guaranteed only for students whose payment has been received in full by the start of the course. Late payments received after the term has started (28th September 2026) will be charged a £10.00 surcharge.
Classes
We aim for a minimum class size of 6 and a maximum of 14. The Italian Institute reserves the right to reschedule or cancel classes according to numbers enrolling. It is not possible to switch from in-person lessons to online lessons or to other groups in the event of absences.
Holidays
Lessons will take place in accordance to local/Italian holidays.
Fees
The cost for one term is £150.00/£140.00 for members of the Italian Institute, students, unemployed, senior citizens (over 60). Fees do not include the purchase of textbook, which needs to be purchased separately by the student (the Institute can send a link to buy the textbook online at discounted price).
EARLY BIRD RATE: The Institute is offering a discounted rate of £140.00/£130.00 for IIC members, students, unemployed and those aged 60 and over for enrolments received by 31 August 2026 (completed enrolment form and payment received).
Payments
Fees must be paid in full by bank transfer (details will be provided by email). A receipt will be issued on request at the start of the course.
Reimbursements
No full or partial refund can be given for classes not attended and no postponement can be allowed. Fees will be refunded only if a course is cancelled due to an insufficient number of students.
Certificates
There are no examinations at the end of the Italian courses. On request, students are given a certificate of attendance.
